The NSF studies have shown there is only a 2% difference between the accuracy of a digital flow meter and the FlowVis flow meter for swimming pools. This is astonishing, considering there are NO INSTALLATION RESTRICTIONS. Unlike a digital, or any other flow meter for that matter, the FlowVis flow meter can be installed directly between two 90 degree turns and still maintain the accuracy of a properly installed digital flow meter. (Manufacturers of all other flow meters require a 10X pipe diameter straight run before  the flow meter and a 5X pipe diameter after the flow meter to ensure accuracy.)

This is not the case with the FlowVis flow meter with check valve. You can install the FlowVis anywhere in the plumbing and achieve digital accuracy. Many of the condo associations and homeowner associations, along with hotel and motel groups are very concerned about the new ADA regulations which recently were amended to include public pool access. The New Americans with Disabilities Act could mean thousands of dollars in expensive modifications to accommodate persons with disabilities.


“It is certainly not that we have anything against people with a disability, but the changes are extremely expensive,” said Don Morton, manager of the Myrtle Beach Golf & Yacht Club homeowners association.

The changes to the American with Disabilities Act were made in the fall of 2010 and will become effective starting March 15, 2012. It is highly recommended these means of access are put in place as soon as possible on both existing water venues and new construction of them.
